flawedquote — privacy policy
flawedquote is an anonymous AI chat. You don't create an account or tell us who you are. This page explains the little data the service does handle and why.
What we handle
- Your messages — the questions you send and the replies generated, kept briefly so a conversation can remember its own context.
- A session id — a random identifier stored in your browser to group your conversation. It is not tied to your name, email, or any account.
- Your IP address — used transiently to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse. It is not used to build a profile of you.
- Your theme preference — stored in your browser.
How we use it
- To generate answers and keep the thread of a conversation.
- To prevent abuse and keep the service within its cost limits (rate limiting).
How long we keep it
- Conversations expire automatically after 24 hours.
- Rate-limit records expire within a couple of days.
- Answers to common questions may be cached to make the service faster and cheaper. Cached answers are stored on their own and are not linked to you or your session.
Processing & third parties
Your messages are sent to third-party cloud infrastructure and AI providers so an answer can be generated, and the service is hosted on cloud infrastructure. We do not sell your data, we do not run tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics.
Storage in your browser
We use your browser's local storage (not tracking cookies) to remember your theme and a session id. You can clear both at any time from your browser settings.
No accounts, no children
There is no sign-up and no personal profile. The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Your choices
You can stop using flawedquote at any time. Clearing your browser storage removes your local session and preferences; conversation data expires on its own.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above reflects the current version.
